Ford Hybrid & EV Models
If you want to switch to something more fuel-efficient and love how driving a Ford feels, then you’re in luck. There are plenty of hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) models to choose from in the Ford lineup. But first, it’s important to understand the difference between hybrids and EVs.
Hybrid vehicles combine gas engines with battery-powered electric motors. They usually use gas as fuel first and switch to electric power when the gas fuel level runs low. Most hybrid vehicles can self-charge the electric battery via the gas engine as they drive.
EVs run solely on electric power and have no gasoline engine. When they get low on electric power, you’ll have to stop and recharge them at a public charging station. You can also plug them in at your home charging station if you have one installed. Many EVs can also be plugged into a standard 240V outlet.
Now that you know the difference between hybrids and EVs, take a look at the hybrid and EV Ford lineup.
